You may want to take a look into your teenager's brain. Teen brains are going through a stage of development, it's a time of pruning of the grey matter. Your teenager is not yet thinking with his frontal lobe (like adults.) From the ages of puberty to about age 25, the adolescent brain is still developing, those connections that govern judgement are still connecting.
I don't want to put too much pressure on you, but the teenage brain is a work in progress. As a home schooling parent, you have the ability to make an impact.
